How PitchMog computes the numbers you see on the Site.
PitchMog builds every headline metric from multi-source match data — the same underlying stats a broadcast graphic or a scouting report would draw on, combined and normalized so a number means the same thing whichever match it came from. Where our data can't back a value honestly, we leave it blank rather than guess.
PitchMog Match Rating
The 0–10 badge you see on a player's card, profile, and match page is our own pitchmog match rating — a single, provider-agnostic figure for how a player performed in a given match. When more than one data feed covers the same match, we take the reading from whichever feed carries the most detail for that match and normalize it: rounded to the nearest tenth and held within a strict 0–10 range, so the badge always reads the same way regardless of which feed supplied it.
We don't co-brand this number with any single data provider's name — it's presented as one PitchMog figure because that's what it is: our merge of the best available match data, not a single vendor's scorecard.
Aura Score (Aura)
Aura is our own 0–100 season index — a deeper read than a single match rating. It weighs a player's recent form, minutes played, and the quality of matches involved, over the current season. It moves as new matches complete; it is not a betting line or a third-party power rating.
What we won't do
- We won't invent a number we can't back with real data — an unsupported metric is left blank, not estimated.
- We won't present a single data vendor's figure as if it were the industry standard, or vice versa.
- We won't change how a metric is computed without updating this page.
